Hey it's Tizone and i'm back again with another beat post. This one is about a beat for sale called "I Can't Wait No Longer". It has that Chris Brown/August Alsina kinda vibe to it. The sound of new school R&B with the real R&B chords and melody. Chris Brown is one of the hottest R&B artist out right now so this beat will definitely gain the attention of the crowd that's buy millions of his records. So if your looking for that sound then this is it. I spent a few hours fine tuning this R&B beat to its fullest potential and I'm really proud of the outcome. The Drums are hitting hard, the bass is nice and thick with that analog sound. As far as the piano chords, I kept it nice and simple so the other instruments can carry the melody and blend in well because I like for every element that I add to have its own place in the beat. Now let's get to what makes this R&B beat a hit.

Of course you know my drums are samples from my custom collection of E-Mu SP 1200 and Akai MPC3000 sounds. I layered several snares drums along with a few clap samples to get a hard hitting sound. Switching up the drum pattern on the hook gave the beat that added excitement that i was looking for. I used 2 kick drums and sequenced several patterns to give the beat a lot of movement and feeling but still keep that melodic feel. As for the Hihat, I used a fast pace trap style pattern to give is that new school vibe that's in a lot of Chris Brown, August Alsina and Trey Songz records.
The music
The Piano: The grand piano sound made this track feel really big and warm. The chord progression give the beat its real R&B feel that's missing in some of today's music. I use a lot of piano sound in my beats which makes them sound full and vibrant. I also added a synth sound that i processed through an Arpeggiator from Nexus 2. This sounds is the base of the verse melody and keep the rhythm feeling exciting.
Once i added the flute and the lead sound, the track was feeling pretty good and ready for the mixing stage
Mixing and Mastering

I exported the entire track into Cubase Pro 8 to mix and master it using Waves and FabFilter Plugins. I like the editing features in Cubase so I all my drops and breaks inside the program.
